Internships

SLS accepts resumes for internships year-long. Internships run 1-3 months long depending on weekly availability and hours per day. Letter of recommendation and school credit will be given. Lunch with be provided for days scheduled at a minimum of 6 hours.

Interns are managed by the Studio Manager and will be actively engaged in current projects, in addition to lecture-style learning. In return, interns are expected to assist in cleaning the studio meticulously. If you are interested in an internship, please email Sue Lee Studios using the contact form with “Internship” as the subject.

Apprenticeships

Some interns may have the chance to enter in the apprenticeship program. The apprenticeship program will have a set contracted date of a minimum of 3 months. Apprentices receive a monthly stipend and materials to further extend their studies in sculpture and fabrication. Apprentices have the opportunity to receive additional competitive pay for studio work and on-set film projects; this would depend on the apprentice receiving approval of competence for paid skill. Program is limited to 1 apprentice at a time.

Sue Lee Studios is currently not accepting any more apprentices at the moment. Only those who have successfully completed the SLS internship program may apply for the apprenticeship program. Former interns must email Sue Lee Studios directly for consideration with “Apprenticeship” as the subject.
